Management Team

Established in 1992, DGRC is one of the more experienced consulting firms in GIS. We've provided quality GIS advice to government and private sector clients in the United States, Canada and Australia. We offer a diverse, highly qualified and experienced team with technical expertise in GIS, GPS, remote sensing, operations research, engineering, project management, financial modeling and marketing.

  • John Glanville. John Glanville has over 20 years of direct investment and portfolio management experience with public equities, fixed income, oil & gas, real estate, venture capital, hedge fund and private equity. He serves as General Partner of The Athenaeum Fund, an early stage technology venture capital fund with investments in Fulcrum Microsystems, Eidogen-Sertanty, Language Weaver, and Syagen, Athenaeum Capital Partners with investments in Rainfinity (acquired by EMC) and Net Exchange, Birch Park Ltd with public and private equities investment portfolio and Berwick Investments LP. He is a founding member of the Pasadena Angels, member of the Tech Coast Angels, advisor to the Central Coast Venture Forum, founding member of Los Angeles Social Venture Partners, founding Advisory Board member for the Los Angeles Business Technology Center, and is a frequent speaker and panelist at universities and conferences. He currently serves on the Boards of two early stage technology companies. He earned his BA degree from Lehigh University where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees and a MS degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
  • Val Noronha. Dr Noronha's technical specialties are in GIS, GPS, spatial modeling, error remediation and remote sensing. He has extensive experience in project conceptualization, team building, GIS strategy and cost-benefit analysis. He began his career winning the PhD of the Year award from the Association of American Geographers, and launching one of the first GIS degree programs in Canada, at the University of Alberta in 1986. He started his first consulting firm in 1990. He has developed innovative GIS solutions in emergency management, elections management, health, education, retail location modeling and transportation. He is Project Director of the National Consortium on Remote Sensing in Transportation at the NCGIA, University of California, Santa Barbara, and plays a lead role in professional organizations and standards development efforts in transportation.
